Despite all the Coachella madness that went down in California this past weekend, another massive event went down in the very same state: the 2014 MTV Movie Awards! We understand that the awards show is all about the best flicks and the best moments from 'em, but seeing as it's MTV and all, they'll still a little bit about the music. That's why a handful of pop stars showed face to belt out their current hits, and we've complied every last performance from the Sunday, April 13th ceremony. Let's get to it!

Twenty One Pilots

We have to say -- we're not super-familiar with Twenty One Pilots, but after their riveting MTV Movie Awards set, we're intrigued to get to know them better. Putting out a show-stopping performance of "Car Radio", a near-spoken-word track about coming to terms with one's self and that feeling of loneliness, the alt-duo had a handful of fans dress in white ski-masks and fist-pump to the beat of the song. What a hard-hitting way to introduce yourself to the pop world!

Ellie Goulding & Zedd
Paying tribute to the Divergent movie, both Ellie Goulding and Zedd came together for a medley of their tracks for the flick. Blending "Beating Heart" into "Find You", Goulding first took centre stage showcasing her stellar voice as she belted the romantic single, and then Zedd singers Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant joined the DJ/producer for the EDM smash. Boom.

Eminem & Rihanna

You think those first two performers were amazing? Well, that's nothing! J/K, just throwin' out some Em & RiRi lyrics. Speaking of: the rapper and the R&B diva were on hand to perform their first ever life rendition of "The Monster" at the MTV Movie Awards, and it was just as good as you'd hope it to be. Promo'ing their upcoming tour together, Eminem and Rihanna proved that a ticket to one of their shows could be the greatest possession on Earth. Just sayin'.

Did you have a fave musical moment from the 2014 MTV Movie Awards? We wanna hear it in the comments.
