All The Musical Moments at the 2014 Oscars

The 86th annual Academy Awards just went down -- who were the big music winners / performers?

Sunday, March 2nd marked the 86th annual Academy Awards, and even though it was a night to honor the big screen, music took a big part at the Oscars this year. After all, music has a big part in making movies, and all of the nominees in the Best Original Song category have all been on the Billboard charts (and in our Top 100, respectively). In case you missed the Oscars, or want to relive the magic again, here are the highlights when it came to the musical side of the Academy Awards...

There's no doubt about it: you hear Pharrell's "Happy" from Despicable Me 2 and you instantly get in a good mood. That's how we felt when the producer busted out his live performance of his hit, and he even got Meryl Streep and Amy Adams to bust out a groove with him!

In one of our favorite moments of the night, Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O performed a sweet rendition of her contribution to the movie Her, "The Moon Song", with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig. We only wish it was longer!

U2 went minimal with their performance of "Ordinary Love" from Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, and they've never sounded better! It just proves that the music veterans don't need a lot of flash to wow their audience.

You guys, remember how good Pink is at belting??? The pop diva paid tribute to the 75th anniversary of The Wizard Of Oz by performing the classic ballad from the movie, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", and we were blown. Away.

Bette Midler closed the In Memoriam tribute at the 2014 Oscars with a rendition of her most famous song, "Wind Beneath My Wings", and since the lyrics reflected the overall 'Hero' theme of the show, it was a perfect fit.

And finally, the performance you were all waiting for...Idina Menzel's stunning version of Frozen's "Let It Go"! Seeing as the empowering ode WON for Best Original Song at this years' Academy Awards, and everybody was predicting it as the clear winner, Menzel might have been feeling a ton of pressure when it came to her performance. But she knocked it out of the park (even with the mispronunciation of her name by John Travolta -- oops)!
