2012 has been a rocky year for Blur, with the band's frontman Damon Albarn flip-flopping in the media on whether they will breakup or not. In an April interview with The Guardian, Albarn seemed to indicate that both Blur and his other project Gorillaz were done recording...forever. But now Blur has released two new songs and fans seem to have their answer: that the band will live another day.

This week the band took to Twitter for a unique premiere of their two new songs "Under the Westway" and "The Puritan." They began by broadcasting a live performance from a London rooftop via Twitter of the songs and also partook in a Twitter interview. Also made available were two lyric videos for the songs.
