Florence and the Machine Covers Drake's Take Care

On a recent live appearance on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge Florence + the Machine covered the extremely catchy new song Take Care by Drake feat. Rihanna. The video starts out with Flo addressing the live audience and she's surprisningly shy! She says she is about to perform a song by three of her favorite artists; Drake, Rihanna, and the producer Jamie XX who has done a rework of Florence + The Machine's song 'You've Got The Love'.

The rendition of the poppy piano-driven song was haunting in true Florence fashion. With the help of her full band which included a violin section, Florence's strong and fluttery voice takes the cover into beautiful territory. It's interesting to hear Florence sing a song with such concrete and descriptive lyrics since the songs she writes and usually performs are more vague and use metaphors and imagery. These lyrics allowed for a more hard-hitting, emotional performance.

'Take Care' has been climbing up the MetroLyrics charts since being released earlier this month and doesn't seem to be slowing down. Thanks to our friends at AMP Radio for sharing this amazing clip!
