After announcing his sudden upcoming album Magna Carter Holy Grail and releasing the tracklist for the album (due July 4th), we have to say we're excited to hear this surprise release from one of hip-hop's living legends, Jay-Z. We may not have heard any of the music from Mr. Sean Carter's soon-to-be record, but we are loving the taste of lyrics he's offering to fans, specifcally this new set of words from the song "Heaven":

Referencing R.E.M.'s massive hit "Losing My Religion" in the song's chorus, it seems like Jay-Z is turning back to 90's rock for his inspiration on the new album, seeing as Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was referenced on the new record's title track. We're hoping for something completely different from the hip-hop mogul, and with these lyrics, we think we're going to be pleasantly surprised with what Jigga has up his sleeve.
