We hate to say it, because it's not in line with the Christmas spirit, but we are TOTALLY jealous of our friends at KROQ. Not only are they spending Christmas in the warm California sun (where the station is broadcast from), they also get to spend it with music SUPERSTARS.
Let me explain: Every year KROQ holds a Christmas acoustic series where they get big name bands and artists to come into town and play a few songs at the Gibson Amphitheater in California. They sell tickets to fans and the money collected is then donated to charity. Sounds pretty awesome, huh?
If you want to know just how awesome the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas is this year, just check a look at the mind-blowing lineup:
New Found Glory
Young The Giant
The Black Keys
Cage The Elephant
Death Cab For Cutie
Florence + The Machine
Foster The People
Mumford & Sons
The Naked And Famous
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
WOAH. Imagine seeing all those bands in the span of two nights AND donating to two awesome charities! Sounds like a Christmas miracle to us.
