Wanna know what's behind Lady Gaga's "Aura"? The ARTPOP superstar released her lyric video for the bumpin' song, which is featured on the film Machete Kills' soundtrack. Starring in the film herself, Gaga plays the role of the sultry La Chameleon, and you can see clips from the upcoming film right in the song's lyric vid.

If we didn't know any better, we'd think that "Aura" was written for Machete Kills, with lines like I may not walk on your street / Or shoot a gun on your soil as her character raises her revolver in the clip. But with so many female characters in the film that are ready to assassinate, it doesn't matter to us whether or not the tune was penned for the action flick: the song's all about girl power, and we love it!

Watch the fiery, blazing, shoot-em-up lyric video for "Aura" (and kind of a trailer for Machete Kills, too) on VEVO below: are you looking forward to Gaga's performance in the film, plus her new album ARTPOP?
