Linus Young Is A Band You Need To Get Familiar With

And our My Musical Mind questionnaire is just the thing to introduce you.

Linus Young is a musical duo of Iris Belson and Joseph Walker, who released their debut single "City Of Sin" in 2013 to glowing reviews. Since, the two of them have been working on a debut release, with a talented roster of collaborators helping out. The project is being produced and developed by Malay, who worked extensively with Frank Ocean on his Channel Orange project (and who actually introduced Iris and Joseph to one another), while Grammy award-winning engineer Manny Marroquin is handling mixing duties. Judging by "Sister," a new B-side song that was just published to the band's Souncloud channel (and which you can hear below), Linus Young is a band to watch.

After wrapping up a string of gigs in support of buzzworthy headliners ZZ Ward and The 1975 on their respective US tours, Iris and Joseph managed to find time to fill out our exclusive My Musical Mind handwritten questionnaire, which you can check out below. We're stoked to find out that Iris is digging Coldplay's new single, and we definitely like her style of bringing gummy bears into the studio with her. Joseph reveals that he listens to his own music -- #shameless -- plus he's coined himself the "chess master." Move over, Bobby Fischer!
