Lyric Battle (Grammy Edition): Best New Artist Nominees

This week's lyric battle is a BATTLE ROYALE! A competition of epic lyrical proportions, it's...the GRAMMY NOMINEES 5-WAY LYRIC BATTLE! If you're not excited enough from seeing that picture and hearing me hoot and holler about it, why don't we take a look at the Grammy category and nominees competing in this here lyric battle:

Ladies first, we have Nicki Minaj, arguably the most popular current artist of the category. Then there's J. Cole, a brand new rapper on Jay-Z's label who's very promising. There's The Band Perry who have had great success in the country world and are just beginning to cross over into pop. There's Bon Iver, the indie-acoustic band who has friends in high places (Kanye West, Rick Ross), not to mention are really talented. And lastly, Skrillex, the dubstep artist who's taking the mainstream world by storm. PHEW, long list!

We chose a few of their best lyrics and but all 5 of these acts up against each other. Be sure to vote for your favorite below!

Bon Iver - Holocene:
And at once I knew I was not magnificent / Strayed above the highway aisle / (Jagged vacance, thick with ice) / I could see for miles, miles, miles
