My 3 Songs: About Space

It's MARCH! Considering February is a short month, March always seems to sneak up on us and remind us that this planet of ours is turning and that, in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring is on it's way. Speaking of planets, did you know that March was named after the Greek God Mars? And so was the planet! That's why this week on My 3 Songs we asked you for your favorite songs about space!

There were a lot more intergalactic songs than we could have imagined but here are 3 of the best picks:

3. Katy Perry - E.T.

(submitted by Souha Sèdiri)

You're from a whole other world / A different dimension / You open my eyes / And I'm ready to go, lead me into the light

2. David Bowie - Space Oddity

(submitted by Zakaria Lemaitre and Sam Mammoth Johnson)

This is Major Tom to Ground Control / I'm stepping through the door / And I'm floating in a most peculiar way / And the stars look very different today

1. Beastie Boys - Intergalactic

(submitted by MetroLyrics staffer and tastemaker Jeremy Hutchings)

Intergalactic, planetary, planetary, planetary, planetary Intergalactic /  Intergalactic, planetary, planetary, planetary, planetary Intergalactic
