My 3 Songs: For Roadtrips

With a new year ahead of us and all the seasons left to cycle through, the possibilities of what we will do in 2012 seem endless; as if the sky is the limit. This hopeful and excited feeling is our favorite part about beginnings. It's also our favorite part about...ROADTRIPS! This year we're planning on taking a LOT of roadtrips because they're so much fun. They have all the elements of a great time: friends, snacks, the open road, the possibility for new discoveries, and of course great music. We asked you for the best roadtrip songs and here are 3 of your picks!

AC/DC - Highway To Hell (submitted by Mary Larson Strouth)

Living easy, living free / Season ticket on a one-way ride / Asking nothing, leave me be / Taking everything in my stride

If you ever wanted to feel like a total badass on your roadtrip, then this is the perfect song for your playlist. It's all about living in the moment and being young, wild, and free (not the Wiz Khalifa song). Even if your roadtrip is on the tame side, you can still feel like a total rebel just by listening to this song in the car! THE POWER OF MUSIC!

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (submitted by Jennelle Diane Willis)

This song is the single most epic sing-along song ever made. I dare you to meet somebody who doesn't know at least 50% of these lyrics! Everybody knows that the best roadtrip songs are the ones that incite enthusiastic sing-alongs, and if the Bohemian Rhapsody scene in Wayne's World is any indication, the sing-along will be ENTHUSIASTIC.

Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway (submitted by Charlene Bloodworth)

Life is a highway / I want to ride it all night long / If you're going my way / I want to drive it all night long

Could this be the most feel-good song ever written? Yes, it very well could be. There's really not much more too this one that that: super posi song + highway reference = a spot on your roadtrip playlist.

What are your favorite roadtrip songs?
