Remember when Mother Monster wordlessly appeared as Elton John's award show date on everybody's favorite yellow-hued family show? Turns out the mega-star has landed a guest spot on the upcoming Simpsons episode "Lisa Goes Gaga"!
Set to air in spring 2012, the animated Gaga makes a pit stop in Springfield after learning that low self-esteem is taking over the town, and attempts to cheer up Lisa Simpson through the power of speech, song, and even a flash mob. The pop music mogul, who recorded her lines only yesterday, admitted that she found her visit to The Simpsons HQ pretty nerve-wracking.
"I make music, but I don't do voiceovers every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humour," Gaga told a US magazine. She added: "I would say this is one of the coolest thing's I've ever done. My dad's probably going to do 80 back-flips when the episode comes out."
"Since the very beginning, I've always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time and she's it," said Simpsons creator Matt Groening. "It's very hard to top reality with her, but I'm sure we'll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe."
We can't wait to see what kind of outfits the animations team comes up with!
