One Direction "Always Wanted To Get Involved on the Writing Side"

In their Billboard cover story, 1D open up about songwriting!

Gearing up for the release of their third album Midnight Memories, One Direction covered the latest issue of Billboard magazine, complete with an in-depth interview on their new music.

In the article, the band opens up about how they put their writing skills to good use for their new LP. "[W]e've always wanted to get involved on the writing side and while we've been on tour this year we've been able to do that," explains member Louis Tomlinson. "We've written on 15 of the 18 tracks and we're really excited for everyone to hear them."

"We can't wait to hear the audience sing back the songs we wrote," Liam Payne gushes on their upcoming live shows, with the members getting a songwriting credit on tracks like "Story Of My Life", "Don't Forget Where You Belong", and "Right Now".
