5. Flying Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley

We have no idea how this odd tune ended up being a staple Halloween playlist song, but we guess it's because, well, it's odd! Who the heck thought of a flying purple people eater anyway? Was it you, Sheb Wooley....?

6. Time Warp - Rocky Horror Picture Show

Taken from the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show musical, doin' the Time Warp is one of the funnest things to do come Halloween! It's just a jump to the left...and a step to the ri-i-i-ght!

It's wholesome, sweet, funny, and completely creepy. This song is a masterpiece and perfect for handing out candy, or getting all gussied up in your costume!

9. Zombie - The Cranberries

Even though it wasn't penned for Halloween, with the current zombie trend failing to slow down (The Walking Dead, anyone?), "Zombie" by The Cranberries is just so appropriate for our Halloween playlist.

10. Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon

HOOOOWWWWL! We know Kid Rock sampled the heck out of this classic tune and kind of tainted it, but the werewolf content and the howl-along chorus makes Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" a Halloween favorite.
