The Best Songs From Super Bowl Halftime Performers

Go from present (Bruno Mars) to past (No Doubt) performers in our Spotify playlist for the 2014 Super Bowl.

Hey, football (and music) fans! This Sunday, February 2nd, marks the date of Super Bowl XLVIII, and in case you weren't familiar with the infamous Halftime Show star this year, Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers will be live on your TVs. The Super Bowl Halftime Show is now an American (and worldwide!) tradition to watch, always breaking ratings for the most-watched event on television EVER, so we expect Mars and RHCP to bring it like it's never been brought before (although it might be hard to top last year's performer).

To celebrate their forthcoming gig at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, we've put together a collection of songs from artists that have performed at the previous Super Bowl Halftime gigs. As we curated the playlist on Spotify, we thought about all the amazing performers who have graced the Halftime shows and the songs they performed. What about when Prince stole the show with his rendition of "Purple Rain" back in 2007? Or when The Black Eyed Peas went TRON-themed and belted out "I Gotta Feeling"? Relive the Super Bowl Halftimes shows of the past with our exclusive playlist below:
