10. White Hinterland - Baby

Why it's trending: White Hinterland is the musical project of Casey Dienel, whose third record under the moniker, simply titled Baby, dropped last week. And we can confidently say that we can't stop playing it! Casey's simply breathtaking vocals and unique, jittery electro-pop production on the album make it one of the most original releases we've heard in months, and the record's title track could be the best from the collection.

Best lyric line: "Baby, I'm gonna go / All the things you taught me to / My shyness was an act / To make you feel secure..."

9. RATKING - Canal

Why it's trending: RATKING, an underground rap collective straight out of Harlem, have just put out their first LP So It Goes, and it's already on tons of music critic's Best Of 2014 lists. We're quite the fans of "Canal", the hard-hitting track off the record paying homage to their hometown of NYC.

Best lyric line: "Let a pound on my brow, pick a dime on the town / Come down, canal, a little hustle, a lot of doubt..."

8. Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks - Little Fang

Why it's trending: Avey Tare is known for his many musical projects, like Animal Collective and his collaboration with Kría Brekkan, and the eclectic musician just delivered his first LP with Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks. Essentially inspired by classic Halloween hit "Monster Mash" for this group, its first single "Little Fang" is an adorable folk-ish ditty about cheering up a friend in need.

Best lyric line: "And if ever starts to feel bad little fang / It's easy to explain cuz this world's not tame / And if it ever starts to feel sad little fang / Remember that your gifts are your game..."

7. James Durbin - Celebrate

Why it's trending: American Idol alumni James Durbin dropped his sophomore LP today, entitled Celebrate, and the quirky rocker's title track is definitely something to celebrate, for lack of a better word. The singer got married and had a baby boy in the gap between his first record and this one, so it's chock-full of positivity and love for his family. So sweet!

Best lyric line: "You have to search high enough / What you couldn't never find / Took some time to gather some pieces of my mind / Feeling thankful every day for the love in my life / I wanna celebrate..."

6. Franz Ferdinand - Fresh Strawberries

Why it's trending: As the latest single from the Scottish alt-rockers' 2013 release Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, the lyrics to this ridiculously catchy "Fresh Strawberries" will hopefully make old and new fans stand up and listen to the foursome's new music. Are the lyrics a reflection about how they feel about their career in pop, or just life in general? #thoughtprovoking

Best lyric line: "We are fresh strawberries / Fresh burst of red strawberries / Ripe, turning riper in the bowl / We will soon be rotten / We will all be forgotten..."

5. Hunter Hayes - Storyline

Why it's trending: As the days inch closer and closer to heartthrob Hunter Hayes' new LP Storyline, the album's title track has just hit the Internet, and it has the singer's trademark songwriting style all over it. The romantic songwriter likes to proclaim his love for the unordinary, especially when it comes to, well, love, and "Storyline" is all about a unique love story all his own.

Best lyric line: "You and I can fall as hard as we want / Make a story of our own, and blow Shakespeare's mind / It's ours to write, it's our love and it's our life / Right or wrong, we'll write our own storyline..."

4. Brad Paisley - River Bank

Why it's trending: Looks like country superstar Brad Paisley has another album due on the horizon! The white-cowboy-hat-toting country crooner just dropped "River Bank" at the ACMs this past Sunday, and when you look at the lyrics, it's a clever little romantic ditty claiming that all he & his lover need is a river bank, not a money bank!

Best lyric line: "We got an inner-tube / We got trailer hitch / We're near the river and far from rich / But we've got each other and gas in the tank / And we're laughing all the way to the river bank..."

3. Owl City - Beautiful Times (ft. Lindsey Stirling)

Why it's trending: After teasing his fans for weeks on Instagram by revealing piece by piece of the single's artwork, Owl City's Adam Young has finally revealed that the track is titled "Beautiful Times", and it features stunning violinist Lindsey Stirling. A new album is clearly on the way from the alt-pop singer/songwriter!

Best lyric line: "I fought all through the night / Oh oh, but I made it alive / The sun's startin' to rise / Oh oh, these are beautiful times..."

2. Pitbull - We Are One (Ole Ola) (ft. Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte)

Why it's trending: Is is that time of year already? Latin superstars Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte have all come together to record 2014's FIFA World Cup anthem, and not surprisingly, it's a banger and a half. "We Are One (Ole Ola)" is a definite shout-out to Brazil and not even that, the world!

Best lyric line: "It's your world, my world, our world today / And we invite the whole world, whole world to play..."

1. Ed Sheeran - Sing

Why it's trending: Ed Sheeran. Pharrell Williams. Bet you never thought you'd hear those two artist names together, right? The adorable UK singer/songwriter is known for his heartfelt, pensive acoustic ballads, but seeing as he's at pop-star level fame these days, we guess he enlisted Pharrell to produce on his upcoming album x to deliver this Justin-Timberlake-esque groover that'll certainly make you "sing" along.

Best lyric line: "If you love me come on get involved / Feel it rushin' through you from your head to toe / Oh Oh oh ohhhhhh, oh oh ohhhhhh / Sing..."
