Nelly Furtado's song "Spirit Indestructible" is the title track from her upcoming album and serves as an anthem about the strength of the human spirit. The lyrics are an inspirational testimony to how we can do anything with the gift of life we've been given and the accompanying lyric video proves just that.
The video features Nelly's friend Spencer West who was born without working legs. West had his legs amputated at age 5 to get around easier and now walks with his hands and arms. He overcame many obstacles simply to become mobile but he recently undertook another obstacle that would prove even harder: he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He accomplished this goal not only for personal gain but to raise awareness and financial support for clean water projects in Africa with the charity Free The Children (follow that link for more information).
