Nicole Richie creates her own comedy show

Nicole Richie has reportedly signed up to star in a half-hour comedy show.

Variety says Richie has hatched the idea for the show, which as yet lacks a title.

The show will be scripted by 30 Rock writer Daisy Gardner and executive producers will be Warren Bell and Jamie Tarsas. It is likely to shoot a pilot in the spring with a view to being picked up for 2010's autumn season.

Nicole Richie let her fans know she was making a careful but steady recovery from the bout of pneumonia that put her in hospital.

Richie, 28, who recently gave birth to her second child, was reported by friends to have been working herself hard following the delivery. Her partner Joel Madden was in Australia with his twin brother, Benji, when she took ill with an apparent cold.

She posted a comment to her blog explaining that she was still on the mend: "Right now it's important for me to stay in bed and recover. Nicole Richie has checked out of hospital after she was admitted with pneumonia.

The 28-year-old star recently checked into the Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA after suffering from pneumonia but she is now back at home.

Her boyfriend and dad of her two children, Joel Madden, wrote on his band Good Charlotte's website: "So I stepped off the plane after a month out of the country, and basically went straight to the hospital for the week.

"But don't worry, all is well and we are home with no problems."

He added: "I was supposed to go into the studio a finish the last few vocals for the record, but that had to wait. Family first."

Nicole Richie, who was diagnosed with pneumonia and admitted herself to a Los Angeles hospital, had been suffering from symptoms of illness for a while.

A friend told Fox News the tiny-framed Richie experienced aches as early as November 9.

"Nicole didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but she was exhausted and couldn't take care of Harlow and Sparrow the way she normally does. She spent most days in bed, and the kids were brought in to her, since she was feeling so bad," the friend said.

Richie gave birth to her second child, Sparrow, in September. Her partner Joel Madden had been in Australia with his twin brother Benji. Richie had also been in a car acciden .....

Nicole Richie has been hospitalised as she battles pneumonia.

The reality TV star is said to be "doing well" as she undergoes treatment.

Nicole, 28, has checked into the Los Angeles hospital Cedars-Sinai.

"Nicole has checked into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia," her representative said. "She is doing well."

It follows reports - denied by her spokesperson - that she was suffering from swine flu.

On Sunday, she took to her Twitter page to reveal she was sick.

She tweeted: "OK cold, it's been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously & keep it moving."

Nicole Richie failed to correct her lawyer when he referred to Joel Madden as her 'husband' during her restraining order trial.

The 28-year-old was in court on November 16 to give her testimony at a hearing, where a judge issued her with a restraining order against two paparazzi.

During the 15 minutes of her testimony, her lawyer Mark Geragos referred to her partner Joel Madden, 30, as her husband despite the fact that the pair, who have two children together, have never stated that they are married.

Richie said in the witness stand that she was 'crying hysterically' when she was rear-ended by the two photographers last month.

Nicole Richie has been granted a permanent restraining order against two photographers, who she claims harassed her and crashed into her car.

The adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie testified at a Los Angeles court before the photographers were ordered to stay away from her until 2012.

Richie revealed how she was “hysterically crying” after the accident in Beverly Hills last month.

Nicole Richie showed off her post-baby body at a recent Jay-Z concert and claimed she has lost 10lbs through dancing.

The 28-year-old gave birth to son Sparrow in September and recently showed off her impressive post-baby body at the Jay-Z concert at LA's Pauley Pavillion on November 8.

She later tweeted a message, saying: "I've lost 10lbs from dancing!!" And in a reference to the concert, she said: "H to the izzo. V to the izza!!"

She then posted a blurry picture of the stage and said: "I'm gonna need crutches tomorrow."

Nicole Richie has secured a temporary restraining order against two paparazzi.

Ivon Miguel and a photographer known as Bam Bam were in a car that slammed into Richie's vehicle last month.

Richie's lawyer Tamar Arminak went to court on Friday to convince a judge that the photographers are a danger to the reality TV star.

Both have now been ordered to stay 100 yards away from her and have no direct or indirect contact with Richie, her children or staff, according to US reports.

Richie claims that the photographers have been "stalking" her home and harassing her on a "daily basis".

Nicole Richie has revealed what her family will be doing for Hallowe'en this year.

The 28-year-old gave birth to son Sparrow six weeks ago and she also has a 21-month-old daughter, Harlow, with boyfriend Joel Madden, 30.

Talking about the plans, she said to EXTRA: "I'm going to be the White Rabbit. I wanted Harlow to be something from Alice in Wonderland, but she really wants to be Tinkerbell."

However, Richie said Sparrow will be easier to dress as he's so little. She said: "I will wrap him up in toilet paper and make him a little mummy. He doesn't care."

However, Madden won't be able to join his family for the fun as he'll be in Australia.
