Norah’s career started in the year 2002, with her debut album entitled “Come Away With Me”, which was a combination of jazz, country, soul, and folk music.
Norah lived with her mother during her childhood years in Texas. She went to Colleyville Middle School, then, transferred to Grapevine High School, after which she went to Booker T. It reached the number one spot in the Billboard 200 in the United States, with “Don’t Know Why”, its single, also becoming number one in 2003 under the Top 40 Adult Recurrents. Norah’s first album garnered the “Album of the Year” award at the Grammies. It was also in 2002 wherein she appeared in the film: “Two Weeks Notice”.

In 2004, Norah Jones’ second album entitled “Feels Like Home” was made available. The songs found in the album were influenced by the Country genre, and within just seven days of its release, sold more than 1,000,000 copies, turning “Feels Like Home” into Blue Note Records’ highest selling album ever.

After three years, Norah Jones released her third album called “Not Too Late” which had all the songs that she either wrote by herself or co-wrote. The album reached the first spot in a total of twenty countries, including the United States. Just last year ’08, Norah Jones released her DVD: “Live From Austin” and went on her “Not Too Late” tour which started in the year 2007 and ended just last year.
