The line "(Say goodnight in here)" should in fact read "Say goodnight D*ck". The Eagles were referring to the impeachment of Richard Nixon when they wrote this song (i.e. D*ck as in the slang name for Richard, NOT the rude part of the body, which incidentally, is why I am compelled to use an asterisk to post this comment!)
