Tatum O'Neal lines movies up in a row

Tatum O'Neal has been cast in the lead role of independent movie Sweet Lorraine.


O'Neal, a former child star, most recently appeared at the funeral of her father Ryan's longtime companion Farrah Fawcett.


The 45-year-old will play a former queen of the New York underground scene who gets involved in local politics when a former lover becomes mayor.


O'Neal recently wrapped on The Runaways with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart and appears in a recurring role on the FX series Rescue Me.


O'Neal made headlines when she received an Oscar at the age of 10 for Paper Moon.
