Scarlett Johansson is set to make her Broadway debut as a teenage girl.


The Iron Man beauty will star in Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge as a 17-year-old, alongside Liev Schreiber.


The actress, 24, will play the role of Catherine, the niece of Liev's character, Eddie.


In the famous 1955 drama, set in an Italian-American neighborhood in New York, the play tells the story of Eddie Carbone, a married dock worker who has an incestuous desire for Catherine.


But she becomes involved with another man and the saga ultimately ends in tragedy.

Scarlett Johansson is heading to Broadway, according to US reports.


The screen beauty, 24, is set to star opposite Will & Grace star Sean Hayes in the Neil Simon musical, Promises, Promises.


The stage show is based on the 1960 film The Apartment, which starred Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine.


According to reports, Hayes will play the part of Chuck Baxter, an ambitious 1960s office worker, who rents out his apartment to company bigwigs looking to have quickie affairs during the day.


A source said: "The problem comes when [Hayes' character] falls in love with Scarlett, who's hooking up (in his apartment) with Chuck's boss!"

The pair duet in the sepia-soaked video for Relator, the first single from their new album Break Up.

Representatives for Scarlett Johansson and husband Ryan Reynolds have denied that reports of a fight between the newly-weds caused the Green Lantern star to miss the Comic-Con event.


Fox News had earlier claimed that the couple had a “huge fight”, which left Reynolds refusing to attend the Las Vegas convention and Johansson threatening to remove her wedding ring.


But reps for the stars, who quietly married last September, have now denied the Fox report.
