    its a song about a messed up relationship or more likely break up.

    You try to fix things, but has no avail, since the person you like is with someone new. your regretting not letting them in, and trusting them... you held out on them.

    But now it two late. your in second place to get a second chance, because of the new person... he moved on, and you missing him..
