Snow Patrol is a Glasgow based band, formed in the year 1994 in Dundee. Snow Patrol’s music is mixed rock/pop. They work under the label Polydor Records. The first two members of the group were Gary Lightbody and Mark McLelland, who first used the name: “Shrug”. The year after, the two decided to change the band’s name into “Polar Bear”. Eventually, the name “Snow Patrol” was utilized. Snow Patrol launched “Starfighter Pilot EP” in 1997, under a different label: Electric Honey. The record also featured Stuart Murdoch and Richard Colburn of Belle and Sebastian.
