People, adultery is wrong under any circumstances! Even Jesus Christ Himself said you don't have to put up with a cheating spouse. If you're married, DON'T CHEAT! If you're not, DON'T date married people. That includes separated people. And don't develop "friendships" with married people of the opposite sex; they can lead to sexual relationships even if you don't intend that. Oh yeah, one more thng, CHEATERS SUCK!

I went through this with my now boyfriend/fiance about 7 months ago. He was with this other girl, and I knew she wasn't good for him. She was cheating on him, and I was the one who was always there for him. He finally realized this, broke up with her, and him and I are not dating. I couldn't be happier. This song got me through that time in my life. I LOVE this song, and me playing this song for him, helped him realize how much he meant to me. So, in a way, this song made my relationship possible.

This song is the story of my life for the past 3 months. I met and fell in love with a married man who was "separated", but I know his marriage is not over and his heart is still there. He finally did me the favor of breaking up with me the other day because he can't handle being in a relationship while his life is falling apart. This song is beautiful. The emotion is real. If you fall in love with someone before you know that they are married, there is not a lot you can do. I am a man in who has just fallen in love for the first time in my life. Luckily both of us have been divorced for years, but no matter what...I would still love her. If you think you can turn you feelings on and off, you are mistaken. If YOU can, I feel sorry for you. There is a lot to be said for doing the right thing, but your brain should never veto your heart. I give Jennifer Nettles credit for showing that the other woman is not always a cold-hearted gold digger, that she also has a heart and feelings. How in love can you possibly be if you don't even know they are married? Doesn't it usually take knowing someone in order to fall in love with them? There are no winners in this situation. Only pain, guilt and sorrow for all, including the innocents-the children, who are unwillingly involved in something not of their choosing. When the choice is made to go down that path, there may be joy in the moment; but in the long run there is pain and sadness, sorrow and guilt, and trust is lost forever.

This song also has been the representation of my life for the past seven months.We were friend,but gave into feelings that we both could not deny. He has a loveless marriage. She stays for the money. Only reason he stays is his two boys. The youngest being three. I too have not reached the point of telling him to forget it. I love him very much and it is hard. I never imagined I would ever be in a relationship like this.
