On a hill far away stood an Old Rugged Cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the Old Rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
To the Old Rugged Cross, I will ever be true
It's shame and reproach, gladly bear

Then He'll call me some day to my home far away
Where His glory forever I'll share
And I'll cherish the Old Rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
And I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown
Yeah, I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

My Grandfather, my mentor p****ed away on Palm Sunday of this year 2009. Thus was his favorite Hymn and It was one of the hymns that was played at his funeral. I can never listen to this hymn the same way again as long I live. Irronically He was born on Easter Sunday in 1921 and p****ed away on Palm Sunday 2009.
