Vintage photographs of Tina Turner and late ex-husband Ike Turner were taken during their private stay in Stuttgart, Germany between 1973 to 1975. Ike Turner's death on December 12, 2007 may have ended his life, but his legendary career and influences within R&B music will continue to live on. His past dynamic duo with ex-wife Tina Turner will be remembered as one of the hottest, most durable, and most explosive of all R&B ensembles. Within Ike's personal life, he was married four times, divorced three, and has four children. Ike and Tina married in a quickie Tijuana ceremony, which turned out to be illegal, since Ike never bothered to divorce his first wife, Lorraine Taylor. Ike and Tina were married from 1962 through 1978 and have one child together. Among Ike's many off-stage problems, he was addicted to drugs and abused his wife and kids. His complete dominance over her life had become too much for Tina, and after an unsuccessful suicide attempt, she walked out on him in 1975, with nothing more than thirty-six cents and a gas station credit card. Ike would later be arrested for drugs and battery.
